Refuel Your Spirit—You Weren’t Meant to Run on Empty

Hey family,

Ever feel like life just won’t slow down? Like you’re constantly moving but never really catching up? You’re juggling responsibilities, trying to keep up with everything, and by the time you get a second to breathe, you’re already exhausted.

I’ve been feeling that lately, and if you have too, I want to remind you of something important:

You weren’t created to run on empty.

We live in a world that glorifies busyness—hustling, grinding, always pushing forward. But Jesus calls us to something radically different. He doesn’t say, “Keep up.” He says, “Come to me.”

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

Rest doesn’t just mean sleep. It means peace—real, deep peace that doesn’t depend on how much you accomplish or how many boxes you check off. It’s knowing that even when you slow down, God is still working.

This Week’s Focus: Letting God Refuel You

We’re going to take a step back from the noise and reconnect with what truly matters. Here’s what I want you to do:

1. Make Room for God
Look at your schedule. Where does God fit in? If the answer is “He doesn’t”—that’s okay. Start small. Even five minutes of prayer, reading scripture, or just sitting in stillness with Him can shift everything.

2. Scripture to Carry You Through
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me." — Psalm 28:7
If you’re feeling weak, don’t push harder—lean into His strength instead.

3. Faith in Action
Choose one of these simple steps this week:

  • Spend 10 minutes in complete silence—no distractions, just you and God.

  • Journal your thoughts, worries, or things you’re grateful for.

  • Replace 5 minutes of social media scrolling with prayer or scripture.

  • Do something kind for someone—help, encourage, or just listen.

Even the smallest acts of faith move mountains.

Something to Think About

Are you running your life at a pace God never asked you to?

We get so caught up in expectations—what we “should” be doing, where we “should” be by now—but God isn’t measuring you by your productivity. He wants your heart, not your hustle.

So, this week, take a step back. Breathe. Refocus. Let God refuel your soul instead of running on fumes.

I’m praying for you this week—that you find peace in the chaos, strength when you’re drained, and joy in the little moments. Keep walking, even if it’s just one step at a time.

With faith,
