When You’re Down to Your Last Shot...
Trusting God in the Final Hour
Hey everyone,
This week’s newsletter feels different because, to be honest, I’m in the middle of my own trial right now. As some of you know, I’ve been working hard to get into the military, but the road hasn’t been easy. I’ve had setbacks, challenges, and moments where it felt like the door was closing. And now, I’m down to my last shot.
Maybe you’ve been there too. Maybe you’re standing at the edge of something you’ve worked for, prayed for, fought for, and you don’t know if it’s going to happen. Maybe you’ve done everything you can, and now all that’s left is waiting.
It’s in moments like this that faith becomes real.
Because faith isn’t about trusting when things look good—it’s about trusting when you have no idea how it’s going to turn out.
This Week’s Encouragement: When You’re at the Edge of the Unknown
If you’re facing your own battle right now, I want you to hold on to this:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." — Deuteronomy 31:6
God doesn’t promise that every door we knock on will open, but He does promise He will be with us no matter what happens. That’s the kind of faith I’m leaning on right now, and I encourage you to do the same.
Here’s What’s Inside This Week’s Newsletter:
1. What to Do When You Feel Like You’re Out of Chances
Pray—not just for the outcome you want, but for the strength to handle whatever happens.
Surrender it to God. You’ve done your part—now trust that He will do His.
Keep moving forward. No matter the outcome, God’s plan is never just about one door—it’s about the whole journey.
2. Scripture for When You Feel Uncertain
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6
Even when we don’t understand the plan, God is still directing the path.
3. Faith in Action
If you’re struggling with doubt this week, try this:
Take a piece of paper and write down everything you’re worried about.
Then, next to each one, write: "God is in control."
Pray over it, and then leave it in His hands. Literally. Fold up the paper and walk away from it, knowing He’s got it covered.
Final Thought
I don’t know what’s going to happen next for me. Maybe I get accepted, maybe I don’t. But I do know that God’s got me—no matter what.
And He’s got you too.
So if you’re at a point where it feels like everything is riding on this one moment, take a deep breath. Step back. Trust. Because even if things don’t go how we expect, God never fails.
Let’s keep walking, even when we can’t see what’s ahead.
With faith,
Preston
